SPRING GRANT RECIPIENT HIGHLIGHTS



A grant of $75,000 was awarded to Squamish Search and Rescue Society to help fund the steel framework for their new facility. This structure will house rescue equipment and vehicles and serve as a communications hub for coordinating complex operations and tasks. 



$60,000 was granted to the Whistler Community Services Society to support their Food Security and community Outreach Services programs that support Whistler's most vulnerable residents.



$50,000 was granted to Whistler Search and Rescue Society to help with the purchase of a new side by side Utility Terrain Vehicle. The new vehicle's off-road capabilities and ample storage space allow for effective search and rescue operations in remote areas with varied and steep terrain. 



$50,000 was granted to Whistler Secondary School to support the school community in building a new fitness and training centre. Funds will go toward purchasing the required flooring and equipment for the space.



$41,000 was granted to Pemberton Search and Rescue to support the acquisition of a Remotely Piloted Aerial System - a robust, portable drone designed for public safety operations. The drone is equipped with advanced capabilities to support both operational tasks and training. 



A grant of $30,000 was awarded to PearlSpace Support Services Society to help fund their Counselling Subsidy Program sessions. This essential initiative helps to ensure that individuals experiencing financial barriers can access the mental health support that they need.  PearlSpace supports a diverse range of individuals in the Sea to Sky.
 

$30,000 was granted to Mountain Muskox to further establish their Sea to Sky Chapter. Mountain Muskox creates spaces for community healing through professionally facilitated peer support circles. Each Chapter offers a welcoming environment which is open to anyone impacted by loss or trauma in the mountains and where individuals can connect, share, and grow together.

The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation accepts funding applications twice per year. The funding deadlines are April 1 and October 1 annually.
