We are thrilled to announce that we have donated $625,000 to Sea to Sky non-profit organizations, as part of our 2024 Fall Funding Period.

FALL GRANT RECIPIENT HIGHLIGHTS



A grant of $100,000 was awarded to the Sea to Sky Community Hospice endowment fund which helps fund programs and services that benefit our community. Sea to Sky Community Hospice promotes and provides compassionate care for all Sea to Sky residents with life limiting illness and provides ongoing support for their loved ones. $78,000
was granted to the Association of Whistler Area Residents for the Environment (
AWARE) to procure an e-transit van that will support operations of the Zero Waste Heroes Program.



$56,000 was granted to the Whistler Gymnastics Club to support the expansion of Whistler Gymnastics in Pemberton, providing consistent, affordable, and high-quality gymnastics programs for the communities of Pemberton and Mount Currie.



Arts Whistler received a $41,000 grant to update their theatre lighting to help facilitate the delivery of more efficient and high-quality lighting design for a wide variety of community programming.



$41,000 was granted to Pemberton Arts Council to help enhance opportunities for participation in community events and increase Pemberton Arts visibility in the community by assisting with the purchase of a portable stage and branded tent.



$40,000 was granted to Whistler Community Services Society (WCSS) to support their very important Outreach Services program delivery. Outreach Services at WCSS offer vital mental and emotional health support programming for community members in need.
 

Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre (SLCC) received a $35,000 grant to support their Indigenous Youth Ambassador Program, an important immersive education program that teaches the foundations of business, through the lens of an Indigenous cultural centre in Whistler. The IYA program has over 600 graduates to date and provides a safe space for students to gain confidence, skills and work experience, while discovering their personal strengths and interests.

The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation accepts funding applications twice per year. The funding deadlines are April 1 and October 1 annually.
