FAQ - Fitzsimmons & Red Chair Sales

 

Please read through carefully.  There is important information below that will help make your purchase and pickup run smoothly.

 

Q: Where can I purchase a chair? www.whistlerblackcombfoundation.com starting Friday, April 28 at 9AM.

Q: What is the cost to purchase a chair? $500/chair 

Q: Can I buy more than one chair? Purchasers are limited to 2 Red Chairs & 2 Fitzsimmons Chairs per transaction (for a total of 4 chairs total combined). Customers can complete more than one transaction. While inventory lasts.  

Q: What does the price include? 

  • Price includes sales tax and loading assistance on designated pickup dates.
  • Price does not include shipping, delivery, or customs arrangements/costs.
  • Chairs are sold as is and all sales are final.

Q: Can I request a specific chair number?  Unfortunately, number selection is not available.

Q: Do the chairs have attached accessories?

  • Retired FITZSIMMONS chairs come with the safety bar and footrest attached
  • Retired RED chairs do not come with safety bars or footrests. Accessories are not offered for sale (ie: grips, hangers, safety bars)

Q: Does my chair come with a standChairs do not come equipped with a stand, base, or footings. Chair stands can be sourced and purchased separately, at the buyers’ expense. A professionally built stand is required for the safety & enjoyment of your chair.

Approximate Weight: 325 lbs
Approximate Measurements: 92.12” W x 33” D x 62” H

Q: When will the chairs be available for pickup?

  • FITZSIMMONS CHAIR:
    Thursday, May 4, from 4:00-6:00pm
    Saturday, May 6, from 9:00-11:00am
    (Fitz Chairs must be picked up on one of the above dates)
  • RED CHAIR:
    Saturday, June 3, 9:30-12:00pm ONLY 
    (Red Chairs must be picked up on this date)

Q: Where is the pickup location? Parking Lot 8 (top of Glacier Lane) during the dedicated pickup windows only

Q: Important Pickup and Delivery Information

  • Please note the weight & dimensions when determining how you will transport your chair
  • Please bring your own tie downs to secure your load before departing Lot 8
  • Pickup dates/times apply to individuals AND delivery/shipping companies

Q: Where do the funds raised through these sales go?

  • The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation, which is dedicated to providing financial support to organizations whose activities provide benefit to residents of the Sea to Sky Corridor
  • The Epic Promise Foundation, which supports Vail Resorts’ employees and their dependents in times of need through emergency financial assistance and educational grants.
